Between the glamorous gowns, the snow-covered prairies , all the sparkle, and all you can eat poutine bar, that any Canadian could hope for Jenna and Dale’s NYE wedding at The Prairie Fire House was pure winter magic! Despite the freezing temperatures, we managed to capture the true essence of this winter wonderland wedding to the fullest extent.

When this sweet couple wasn’t romping through the snow, they were exchanging vows and toasting to the New Year in the glow of twinkle lights, candles, and sparklers. They filled the ceremony and reception spaces with gold pineapples, garlands, sequence, gorgeous table accents, and a stunning display of elegance.  And what is a NYE wedding without a party? I have never experienced a party quite like this before, but I want to do it all over again. Champagne poppin, confetti throwing, and the best damn music you can dance too. This is a night I will always remember.

Whether you’re a fan of the show or simply can’t get enough of natural, whimsical, woodsy styling, this Game of Thrones wedding inspiration will make your jaw drop! Her homemade gorgeous burgundy cape was perfect for the cold wintery day and the animal pelts from the local museum made it look that much more incredible. It was all about the finished details that made this wedding so inspiring, even to the exact replica of the house of stark pin. Geordan and Jennifer really put lots of time and heart into this day and it really showed. Im so in love with this day and this couple.

Derek + Rebecca 12.1.18

As the temps outside are finally dropping, this cool weather wedding days makes us want to huddle around a campfire with tons of blankets! So Derek and Rebecca did just that. As they were surrounded by loved ones, in warm blankets and fires glowing, they said their I Do’s under the romantic arch at The Lakehouse in Clear Lake. The woods are gorgeous to begin with but with the touch of old man winter, we were blessed with hoar frost to make it that much more magical. Please take me to the woods anytime with this great bridal party and I will gladly walk in 2-3 feet of snow to capture these amazing memories all over again.

Matt + Michelle 11.10.18

Hearing people’s love stories always gives me the goosebumps. The first time they met, their proposal or some great love story that brought them together. Michelle and Matt’s love story is very unique and soooo good!!.

Michelle the travel enthusiast from Manitoba is the girl to just jump on a plane and take an adventure. She’s literally been everywhere. She wanted to start a travel blog and capture her journeys. With no such luck and lots of frustration later her brother told her about this website that you can find said individuals who build them for you. She searched through what felt like a million profiles and landed on three designers. As she liked to call them, X, Y, and Mr. Handsome. Mr. Handsome aka Matt the PHD in chemical engineering/digital marketer from Philadelphia received a message from Michelle. The business savvy man that he is suggested they have a Skype call the very next day.

So nervous Michelle, not knowing a thing about all this website material, Skype called Matt. The screens popped up and Matt was blown away by how beautiful she was and uttered the words, “You’re so pretty.” Apologizing profusely and repeating that he never says these things. He was just so captivated by Michelle. Minutes go by and it felt like they have known each other for years. So days go by and they talked day and night, most days not even about the website. It was just random things that they both connected on. It first started to a 1-2 hour business conversation, that ended up to a 4-5 hour conversation about everything else. As Michelle would say, “There is something there, but it is too good to be true.”

Michelle just finished her exams and she decided she wanted to learn more about Digital Marketing so she planned a trip to go to Philly. Primarily because she was mesmerized by Matt. Excited is an understatement because she is about to go see a stranger, who doesn’t seem like a stranger over 1000 miles away and has gotten to know over Skype and phone calls because she feels this is something…. different.

Walking through the airport gates, her heart is racing. She knows he is waiting for her. He has no idea what to expect. He knows this isn’t normal. Usually people who want a website built for them don’t show up, wanting to meet him.

And then…. She saw him, and he saw her. The rest is history. <3

Dan + Danille 10.27.18

Danille and Dan’s laid-back wedding at The Clarion Hotel and Suites had all the charm and class. Their romantic vibes from the venue, and all of their beautifully, thought out details combined for a truly dreamy day!

I always get excited about the details. It really shows who the couple is and what they represent and how they wanted to make this equally as special for them and for their guests. They had the best music, and home made jams and salsa that made this a night I can’t forget. I was so tempted to take home every flavour hahah.

Stew + Becca 10.19.18

It comes as no surprise that Becca and Stew had their focus on creating a day representative of their carefree spirits, and bringing everyone they love into the fold. Scottish lad meets Prairie wildflower. Scotland weddings tend to have a natural, mysterious romance about them, and this Manitoba wedding is no exception. The day was equal parts breathtaking and playful, and had the best damn dance moves ever to bring down the night.

Allan + Nicole 10.6.18

Nicole and Allan’s wedding at Tundra hall was as sweet as can be! These two celebrated with their closest friends and family and made to sure make it an all-day celebration. It was a day they will never forget. A blanket of snow swept over the prairies the day before and left their fall wedding with a white canvas with pops of yellow and orange leaves. Something that was truly beautiful.

So many memorable moments, and with great significance. Allan is one of the top guys at the Tundra hall and we got to play on the ice and with the Zamboni. It made for some great laughs and playing around shots. But not as many laughs as the brides mother getting trapped and locked in the one of the rooms just before the ceremony and a bunch of men came to her despair with a sledge hammer. Oh the moments we got to capture and get to smile back on and relive the day over and over again.

Travis + Cheyenne 10.13.18

Cheyenne and Travis’s wedding is nothing short of breathtaking with a dash of glamour. These two exchanged vows at The Gates on Roblin surrounded by candles and string lights for the ultimate intimate and romantic feel. I think this is as dreamy as it gets. All the elegant touches, the mind blowing details, and now I am at a lose of words to fully explain the beauty of it all. It really is something you are going to have to take my word for. I am still stuttering over its captivating beauty. Seriously, get ready to pick your jaw up, off the floor.

Devon + Jodi 9.29.18

They wanted to gather friends and family to celebrate their love, revive connections, and create lasting memories in the forest with all of our favorite people. That was Jodi and Devon’s mission, and that’s exactly what they accomplished with their incredibly fun Clear Lake wedding!

The entire wedding had a distinctly bohemian and care-free feel that was incredibly dreamy given the forest setting. And the fact that they and their family and friends DIY-ed nearly every detail made it all the sweeter! This couple stayed true to their mission statement and, in doing so, created a picturesque wedding in Clean Lake complete with floral rings, textural place settings, beautiful banners, and lets not forget all the sweet dance moves at the end of the night.

Steven and Chantille’s wedding at Clarion Hotel & Suits was an unforgettable celebration of love, family, and the start of a life-long journey! With the wedding party’s classic red, and black attire, the overall feel of this wedding with luxurious without being too formal. The look was understated while being totally elegant, and the vibe felt sophisticated yet somehow still carefree. This is a day that will go down in the books, one they will never forget <3

Zach + Alexa 9.15.18

Alexa and Zach wanted their day to move their guests with its beauty, but this Manitoba prairie wedding at the Prairie Fire House was full of glitz and glamour from start to finish. The breathtaking venue was made up of romantic lighting, massive windows and fabulously decorated sequence tables from Party Professionals. It was the perfect setting for their first day in the books as husband and wife. Surrounded by all the best kinds of people, this is a day that they won’t forget. I know I sure won’t. The speeches touched everyones hearts and there was not a dry eye in the house. All the heartfelt moments really pulled at my heartstrings. Happy Wedding Day Alexa and Zach!

Myself and my extremely talented gal pals ( and Devon lol ) got together and collaborated this stunning, and creative styled shoot. We put our talents and our resources together and literally made this moody, prairie, elopement look so freak’n good.

Nikki from Plaza Petals Floral Shoppe in Souris, helped design the look and made the most incredible floral pieces. Using all dark tones and natural elements that were right around us. The massive bouquet, the ceremony ring, and the centre piece at the farmhouse table from (Another Man’s Treasure) all were the hard work from this girl. She literally knows how to blow any bride away. She’s amazing. If you’re planning a wedding, then you know the best way to add drama and coziness to your look is with seasonal florals. From moody to vibrant blooms balanced with neutral tones, Nikki sure knows how to build a wedding bouquet that are as unique as they are stunning, and would be the perfect addition to brides day.

Then of course there is Jill Landry, make up artist of the century. Well thats how I like to think of her. She seriously is superb. Whether you are a beauty junky or you just want to look the best on your day, You have probably spent a little time thinking about your make up. All eyes are on you on your wedding day, not to mention the cameras following you around the capture the celebration, which means you’re going to want your makeup to be extra on point! Besides deciding whether to emphasize your eyes or lips, Jill is your go to girl and can help you on the way and make you look like your best self.

I am sure you already spotted out Farran and Devon. You probably haven’t stopped staring at their exquisite look. They were a dream to work with. From the very start, when we started picking out the look and style and the feel we were all going for, Farran had it all. She is the best model that any photog could ask for. Fun, laid back and down to earth, Devon too. You guys were the best xox

I can't say enough about how much I adore Keegan and Michelle’s backyard wedding! There is so much to love, from all the personalized details to each and every loving, sweet moment. The shades of grey, navy and soft pinks in the floral design brought the atmosphere of a warm Manitoba autumn to life. Lets also stop and enjoy the intricate detail of this stunning gown from Muse Bridal. It has my jaw hitting the floor and mesmerized by its beauty. Take me back to the whispering willows so I can capture this all over again.

Chris + Samantha 8.18.18

From bold and daring, to soft and romantic, Samantha knew how to put it all together. It was as sparkle and glamour met ruggedly handsome and woodsy. The decor was nothing but minimal, the focus on gold accents, bold florals, and rich pops of color and so much sparkle created a truly elegant look and feel that was perfect for a summer wedding. I don’t think I can emphasize the word sparkle enough. This wedding had so much glitz and gorgeous jewels that Elton John would have been jealous! Eyeshadow, her bouquet, sequences dresses and the reception tables were all so breath taking.

Ceremony arches continue to be a favourite trend of mine in wedding decor, and 2018 has been the best yet for inspiration! This absolutely breathtaking arch, a complete, perfected circle was all custom made by the brides’s father. I mean WOW!! Speechless. It sure made an absolute statement for their day. It all didn’t end there. The mother of the groom also had talents of her own on the decor details of the reception venue and she out did herself. Plants of all kinds and succulents and just all the earthy vibes. I think this wedding had all the right touches that made Coulter and Megan’s day even more spectacular.

Between their ceremony under an archway of leaning trees and their gorgeous reception in their hometown Virden, MB, Jordan and Alexa’s wedding day in the beautiful prairies was as romantic as can be. They kept the details simple, relying on the natural landscape to set the mood and their blush pink bridesmaids dresses amongst the navy suits brought a level of laid-back elegance that was perfect for an intimate day. Jeff + Rae 8.4.18

Is there anything sweeter than an intimate and private wedding surrounded by the ones you love and your family as the bridal party that you hold so dear? I didn’t think so either. Jeff and Rae and their lovely children, and yes their little grandchild were all apart of their magical day. They made it more special, more loving and the best day they all imagined.

Many smiles and tears of laughter were had. From one of the best first looks, I have ever partaken in, to the BEST rap off from their daughters for their welcome to the family speech and the list continues of amazing moments and memories that they get to forever cherish.
